Sleeping beauty

OK...this wasn't actually supposed to look like sleeping beauty but it ended up that way, hence the title. Some of you may recognise this and be thinking that I stole it. Yes I know, I stole the pose but let me explain. I drew this for a friend who saw a picture in a book that I have by Ben Caldwell, who may I ad is a really cool cartoonist with an awesome style. Basically my friend wante dme to re-draw the pic, so I did this for her.

I've never been good with backgrounds and once again I didn't know what to do with this one.
